Popular Science’s Best of What’s New has awarded Project Natal with the Home Entertainment - Grand Award for 2009! This is a major boost for the Natal Team and because we’ve got our own team working with Project Natal on Milo we’d like to thank Popular Science for the award.
My guess is that this will be the first of many articles and awards about the innovation Project Natal brings to video games and maybe even other media, as Bill Gates
mentioned a couple of months ago. Here at Lionhead we’re currently working on our very own exciting project, Milo, which makes full use of Natal. This is why to us it’s not a big surprise Natal has been awarded ‘Best of What’s New’ for 2009!
Natal is getting more and more visibility but I bet for the punters out there it’s not enough (it never is is it?) and the public wants to see more of what it can do and how it’ll work! But for now let’s praise the people working on the projects and may they have something to show very soon!
If you’re interested in reading the article though, it can be found in the December issue of Popular Science magazine. However don’t expect a lot of detail on either Project Natal or Milo, for that we’ll all have to wait a bit longer...
Whilst writing this I also spotted that
TIME magazine included Project Natal in their list of The 50 Best Inventions of 2009! Leaving teleportation and the AIDS vaccine behind (!?). I was thinking that could make an impressive tagline?
