[COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

For those of you who have reached the end of the game you are presented with three choices in the spire.  Which did you choose?

    Which fate did you choose?

    • The Needs of the Many (26.7%)
    • The Needs of the Few (66.1%)
    • The Needs of the One (7.2%)

The needs of the one. Didn't have any ties with my dog. I only saw him as a tool to dig up treasures and stuff. E v i l [Evil] FTW

    Definitely the need of few.
I wanted both my character's dog and sister back, although I never saw Rose again.
    Future DLC, or simply no?

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

Needs of Many. I should have picked love because I couldn't complete any of the archaeologist quests, or the Lady Grey quest.  Also, I know it is also supposed to be a selfless act, but this reward could have been obtained by just being G o o d [Good] (All you have to do is donate 250 gold to the temple of light 30 times). It would've been nice to see communites grow as a result to you bringing back the dead.

I also think the Needs of One is a really weak choice for an E v i l [Evil] character. If you really have an E v i l [Evil] character, you can just buy everything and set the prices/rent to 100% and make a million in a day or two. If I am E v i l [Evil] (which I was in my first play-through), I am not going to want money. I am going to want to make everyone fear me, and respect me through intimidation. The one thing the would have been perfect (at least to me being an E v i l [Evil] character) would have been to take control of the Shadow Courts.  The Spire is off limits because Theresa *claims* it for herself.

Also, if we can destroy oakfield, why can't we destroy Westcliff. The one thing I didn't like about destroying oakfield is what it looked like after. I didn't mind it looking all gloomy and all that, but it would have been awesome to see shadow worshipers in Oakfield. It would also have been cool to see them  to build a new center where the ToL was. Eh, sorry about going on about that, I realize that this was supposed to be about the main choice.

Love is the best choice IMO. You can easily earn the two other choices, and you get the dog back. Also, the letter from Rose also adds more to the story.

Nope. I know for the Needs of Many you get a letter from the people saying how much they admire you, and for the the Needs of One you just don't get Rose's letter.

I would have chosen the needs of the one if it was something useful like the SoA in Fable but it wasn't it was utter crap so I chose the needs of the few.

    Needs of the many.

I thought I'd see Bob again, but then I realized I stabbed him to end his misery. I would have been happier with the choice if the Albionites made me a solid gold statue, none of that cheap stone ***.

    Needs of the many.

    It was the best choice.

I am completing the Archaeology Quest on my own without my dog. Have one currently to find and then one more clue from Belle for the last one. (She hands them out one by one) Its a little trickier to locate by the clue, but possible and sort of fun and satisfying. The golden path makes is 100% easier as its just a G o o d [Good] as my dog and...a lot quieter.

I am just shy of my million dollars but then....I spend a lot to make a lot....but its likewise possible.

Do I miss my dog? Yeah but he died to save my life so I need to live up to my dog's esteem of me and not be a whiney snot boohooing his death and get on with being the hero he believed me to be. Hows that for mushy? Hahahahahaha.

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

The sacrafice one. Needs of many i think.
One to get all the ones that died making spire come back...

Didnt connect to my dog. just a tool to use in the world. annoying really.
    Money.. dont need it.

The choices arent very rewarding now that i think about it..
I mean, wow a statue in a part of town which you never go to anyway. how rewarding!

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

I did The Need of The Many but I plan to play the game through 2 (at least) more times to get them all. What annoyed me most was I did not expect the game to end so quickly. When you go back to Reaver you may never see your dog again. If i'd known I would have got all the silver keys first. Also there is a Demon Door that requires you to do dog tricks. How can I do that without a dog? Crouch on my hands and knees and pretend? As soon as Id finished the game my second wife (after the first was killed by Lucien *waves fist*) gave me a dog trick as a present. Nice way to rub it in.

If you ask me The Need of The One reward is not enough. You should get at least 10 times what you get.

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

I chose the needs of the many. I got the letter and statue but it wasn't worth the loss of my dog. I can't see how any amount of money would be either since it's so easy to come by in the world.

What would have been nice is that you couldn't reach pure G o o d [Good] without choosing it or for that matter pure E v i l [Evil] without choosing the needs of the one.

I also would have liked to see a unique quest open up for each of the different choices. Maybe that could be DLC?

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

I chose the needs of the few.  They can ramble on about all the innocent blah blah blah, my family was innocent and so was my dog.  What makes their lives less worth restoring than everyone elses?  So what I bring everyone else back, I will still be alone.  My children were innocent.  My 5 husbands were innocent.  My wife was innocent and so was my dog.  I brought back my family because they were my responsibility, not the whole frigging world, just them.  I'd do it again.

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

Needs of the few.  I fed everyone in the Spire detention area,  hunted down Spire guards in Bounty Hunter and helped some escape when I broke out, so anyone who already died was no matter; I was never responsible for them.  My dog was too useful to leave dead, and I didn't have a family.  Money? Give me a break-my rent gives me all I need.
Has the world ended already? Oh dear, I must have missed it. . .

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

The way I see it, I chose the needs of the many when I saved the world from Lucien. I could have just gone my merry way, skipped all the thinking and fighting and gone straight to marrying Camlo the Gypsy Tattooist. But no... I saved the world. After all that, I wasn't sacrificing what little I had in life so I could bring back the dead families of those people I just spent my whole life saving. Sheesh.

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

Needs of the Many.  Being G o o d [Good] isn't always fun but in the larger sceme of things I can always find a new spouse and I didn't have a hard time spotting treasure, just won't get to dig up certain spots--not that they were terribly great mind you.  I miss my dog but really the game functions well enough.  Don't know about you guys but it is kinda weird not having the dog (I named him My Lord).  But then again I wonder how that dog lived 20 years anyway...dogs don't usually last more than 10-15 so he was a G o o d [Good] old dog.

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

The few, because I wanted to finish up all the side quests, which I need the dog for.  It's my first play through and I'm trying to get everything I can.
Otherwise I would have chosen The Many because I was playing a G o o d [Good] character.

It's pretty easy to go E v i l [Evil] or G o o d [Good] without making choices like that anyway.  I was 100% Pure and just about 100% G o o d [Good] before I ever went to the Spire the first time.  Just shovel down that tofu.

Also, that letter from Rose....  I don't think it means she's alive.  It sounded like maybe she had gone to a place to be with your ancestor (the hero from the first game), but I'm not sure.
