    All aboard the JazzX Lifeboat!

As many of you know - I have a massive archive of films on my harddrive (nearly 800), all of which have (or are part of a series which has) scored at least 4-stars.

Given that the uploads section of this site is about to close on December 5th - I invite everyone to tell me your favourite TMO films that you've watched over the years.

If they are not already in the archive, I will watch them - if they get 4-stars or more, they get in, if not you'll need to download them yourself.

I'll comment on each of the films submitted here as to whether they got in or not.

All you need to do is give me the title(s) - I'll do the rest. Submit as many as you like.

The films will be watched in the order submitted, although films by female directors will jump the queue, as women should always be first in the lifeboat!

So - the string quartet is playing, even though their music stands are gradually rolling down the deck!

Which films do you believe should be rescued from TMO?

Re: All aboard the JazzX Lifeboat!

    JazzX, I love the idea.

    I have three requests.

The Man Who Wanted To Sneeze. That is my favorate comedy movie on TMO, and it would be a shame to see it dissapear.

Chat Room. Sidy made this movie, and it thrilled me many times.

The VCillionare series. EObagg's series blew my mind. The overlays and the idea was great.

    Hope you save those 3.

    Kit

    Thanks Moviekit -

You'll be pleased to know that The Man Who Wanted to Sneeze is already aboard, as is the classic Chat Room.

Episodes 3 & 4 of VCiliionaire are already on board - but I saw them as individual episodes of a game show, not really as a series of films. I wasn't too impressed by the first two shows in the series, so they won't be getting on the boat.

    "Come On" is safely aboard.

I'll take your post as a request to consider rescueing these four films from the sinking ship before they are completely lost forever:

"It Really Came From The Woods"

    "Dream"

    "Left in Town"

    and

    "UMASI"

    I never heard of it!

Unfortunately it's not in the lifeboat and is offline - maybe you could ask themonk for a copy.

I've begun rescuing passengers - here's the first addition to the lifeboat:

It Really Came From The Woods

    by FoDooG

    Genre: Bizarre Comedy Spoof Infomercial

    Duration: 2.5 minutes - released Sunday 16th April 2006, 62 ratings, 4.61 star average

BBFC rating: U - suitable for all

    ***** stars

Some G o o d [Good] gags (the prizes were hilarious) - but I thought it was 4-stars until I read the description and found that the filmmaker had made the excellent music at the beginning themselves.

A funny shorty which achieves its aim of lulling the audience into silent horror cinema before the big laughs interrupt everything.

    Another passenger saved:

    Left In Town

    by FoDoog

    Genre: Bizarre Comedy/Musical

Duration: just under 18.5 minutes - released Sunday 25th June 2006, 200 ratings, 4.96 star average

BBFC rating: U - suitable for all

    ***** stars

Completely bizarre - but very funny in places and with a superb song at the end.

Really - I found this a bit hit-and-miss until the final song which pushed it into 5-star territory.

The opening with the TMOA radio show was excellent, and I liked the horse cameos by several members of the community halfway through.

Lots of entertaining moments on the way - definitely one worth preserving.

For completeness - I'm now downloading the middle chapter in the "horse" trilogy from FoDooG's website (FlannagansFog.com). As that's already preserved on an external site, I'll delay watching it until after December 5th - but it gets in due to the strength of the other episodes regardless.

Some of their films aren't preserved on their own site - including the next one I'm about to watch, "UMASI".

Hmm - I need more to go on than that. "The Roof is on Fire" doesn't match anything I've searched for or in my archive.

That's my work well and truly cut out:

Trashman's output will be reviewed in this order:

    "The Adventures of Phil's Fart"
"The Wizard of Oz: Director's Cut"
"Slick Johnson presents How to Sell a Film"
    "Horse Wash"
    "Time Warped"
    "Funk You"
    "The Ten Commandments"
    "Praise the Lord!!"
    "utarefsoN"

"The Outlaw *** Boner" is already aboard.

I also have the banned "The Last Supper Starring Jesus Christ" safely archived! Smily [:)]

Next will be "The Clucky Cluck Show" - if that gets in, I'll save the other one as well.
