Pretty much nobody back then took the game seriously at all. What most of us would have complained about being godmodding later on in the game was seen as perfectly normal right at the start.

The invasion of Brazil is going well, very well indeed. Resistance was at the minimum of the range expected, which wasn't predicting adequate resistance anyway. It is estimated that full Antarctican control will be established within three posts, and from then another attack shall be carried out. Upon the conquering of the third nation, the Antarctican Empire shall be officially born!

The invasion has begun, at 7:20 a.m. this morning, Alexander II has given the go ahead for his troops to invade neighboring Albania. catching them by surprise, his troops were able to make it deep with the first wave of attacks, heavily bombing the areas and bringing in tanks and skilled infantry. With no reply from France, macedonia choses to forget them for now, and focus on holding territory and reinforcing the homeland for a counter strike. Casualties are pretty low and only about 200 are wounded, and 115 men were killed in action.

Albanians everywhere are outraged, and are trying to rally support from other balkan countries, but they do not seem to want to reply yet. most countries are recently ending wars and now crave peace. The EU as it seems, isnt quick enough to respond, and cant call off this invasion peacefully. But all of the balkan countries have disbanded their alliances with Macedonia, not wishing to be pulled into another war for now. Further discussion among neighboring countries is to be arranged laer today, about the current crisis.

Today in Puerto Rico, rebels took control of an American science lab known to be in possesion of nuclear weapons. Several more rebels entered the govenor's building in San Juan and threaten to kill him unless Puerto Rico is granted independence from the United States.

(One day later)

The governor of Puerto Rico was killed by the rebels after he failed to meet their demands. The rebels have appeared on national broadcast stating they will return Puerto Rico to the peace it had before American dominance if they recieve support. Meanwhile at the lab the rebels threaten to launch the weapons if America does not gratn Puerto Rico independence.

The president of the United States appeared of international television granting Puerto Rico indepence however he suggested Puerto Rico remain economically tied to the U.S.

Military News

After over a week of fighting, Macedonia has finally reached the adriatic sea. After losing only 1,145 men, Aand only 700 wounded, macedonia has finally gotten its hands on a port city, something they havent seen since WW1. They have now successfully defended and fortified the northern art of their new territory and have quelled any retaliation. The only down side is that the macedonian embassy has been bombed and raised to the ground, Luckily, the macedonian officials inside were  jailed instead of being killed. Negotiations for their freedom will be held later.

Scientific/Engineering News

Imediate research and production has been set underway, as they start construction on a three battle ships and a carrier and two submarines. Also they scientists and engineers think of new ways to try to improve upon modern design but for now, try to make the most modern ships of today by stealing the technology from the Albanians.

Domestic Issues In New Territory

Alexander II has informed Free Albania that no more aggression will be used against them unless need be. and has almost erased taxes in the new territory. Construction has also started on a wall to separate Albanian Macedonia from Free Albania. The military allows family members to choose a side of the wall they stay on, but attempts to convince them to stay will super low taxes, and a proposal for a better life.

Greek Issues

Many Greek Macedonians have answered the call of the emperor, and have flocked by the thosands back to Macedonia.  this has led Greece to send tolls skyrocketing and are basically stealing from the people. Alexander has sent some troops to the border of Greece to oversee these actions, trying to intimidate The greek tollmen. tension rises, shots may be fired.

about 275,000 macedonians have came back to macedonia, and more are to come.

Population

The population of new Macedonia is now about 3.75 million, which includes the territory gained from Albania and the immigration back home.

The military strength is about 48,000 strong,  with a little over 1000 wounded in the war.

Other Issues

Alexander has built ten new war hospitals and made sure they are in tip top shape, and past regular standards, hoping to accomodate the wounded and make them happy. He has also improved all the other hospitals, rapidly modernizing them with money from budget cuts.. except a new budget will now be opened for the navy. Alexander has also during the war, made sure all the roads in macedonia were repaired, and has made plans for 500 miles of road to be constructed within the future.

Military news
With the invasion of Brazil complete, troops swiftly move into Bolivia. Rebel uprisings are still occurring through Brazil, but more Antarctican troops are being deployed in order to contain the rebels.

In order to cope with being completely isolated from the rest of the world, new fighter planes are being developed in Antarctica, which will hopefully be useful in overseas wars. The planes, based on the Harrier Jet, are still being planned but are going to have vertical take off and landing and the ability to travel faster than sound.


The first Antarctican Dock has been built, which will help with trade and possibly military. Currently it's very small, only having room for one (large) ship, but it will be steadily upgraded almost constantly. Within 15 posts, it is expected to have another docking station.

Military News

With the invasion of Argentina complete, troops moved silently towards the center of Switzersland much to the the surprise of the Swiss National Guard. Uprisings have been found in Argentina, but the Grand Armee has been sent to eradicate the rebels.

Economic News

Today gas prices continued to fall, dropping to the lowest in 3 years; 3,56 a liter. The Euro continued to drop in value, but stock prices rallied raising to a 2-month high.

Today, the Swiss Republic collapsed at the hands of the Grand Armee. President Stephane sent the former republic a gift basket full of cheeses! The small nation of Leichenstein was annexed after the Swiss Republic fell. Also the Island of Jersey located just off the shore of France was annexed into the French Republic. Here is an update of the map:

 

President Stephane gave a speech today here is what he said: "My fellow citizens, today on Sunday the 30th of November. Our nation continues to thrive whilst the rest of the world crumbles to war and famine. Our nation will not tolerate this, and henceforth the French Republic sends aid to Africa, particulary Somalia and Sierra Leone. Along with the nation of Indonesia. We will stand in fight my brothers and sisters. We cannot stand aside whilst millions die of disease and hunger. Earth is our home and we cannot let those less fortunate than us have a life that is no less important than those of the French Republic. We ask the people of France to donate money to the World Food Distribution Program (WFDP). We ask you, the other countries of the world, to help those who are less fortunate than us to donate food and money to the WFDP."

As soon as he finished a roar leaped from the crowd not heard of since the end of the occupation. Citizens were running through the streets of Paris shouting Vive Le France! Vive Stephane!

Alliance News

The french troops late arrival has made the emperor wonder how strong their alliance is between the two nations. Although he understands they were both in a time of war, still it makes him think. The french troops have flown into the newly occuppied Albanian territory near the Adriatic. Where they are greeted, and then informed on the current situation in Albania and Greece. They are separated accordingly, but are promised to be returned home once problems are over.

Territory News

Construction has hatsily began to rebuild and improve all buildings destroyed by the past warfare in Albania. Macedonian troops do all they can to help get the families on their feet, and hold funeral services for lost men on both sides and civilians. We try to show the Albanians we arent soo bad. Also the wall is going well and should be done in 4 posts.

Also the macedonian officials have been released on a 1 million euro bail, all men have been sent home to their families.

Domestic News

roads continue to look better but are conjested since road work. Hospitals are raising the bar, and are soon becoming best in the region. Alexander has deeply iinvested in the churches and have fitted them with icons, and repaired all that need be. Also the education system has improved by adding new class and updating old subjects.

Naval/Military News

the best engineers have been hired and have already begun the construction of all ships the emperor has requested to build. 6 warehouses have been built or have been repaired to house construction of all six ships needed to be built. Also torpedo research has begun along with anti-aircraft guns and artillery for ships. Like SAMs and requests that the members of his alliance help him build his ships, overseeing that they are moodernized and equipped with every shell and every torpedo and missile they need. since until a  few days ago, the coounrty has never needed a navy and doesnt really know much about the constructing of modern ships.

Tensions rise

as another 100,000 people over the past few days have returned to the motherland, they are still burdened by heavy tolls, which macedonia cant do much about. still the milotary presense on both sides, pile up. with the addition of over 60% of the french troops that were recieved macedonia might have the upper hand.

Misc

nationalism has risen and with the new arrivals, about 15,000 of men, between ages of 18-35 have joined the military where their iintense training will begin immediately to get them ready for what could be a war. military population is about 63,000 now, 48,000 trained.

taxes have seen a slight iincrease thoug, but still people are happy since they are about 15%.

macedonia has produced 150 more adaptations of the american tank, which is now to be referred to as M-08t (tank) Valkyries, and over 250 of the macedonian version of the F-22 raptors, now to be called M-08f  (flight)Sunbirds.

Military News:

The French Army has climbed to new heights, raising to 550,456 men. This is fairly large for France. The war in Chile ( I got them confused! ) has not been going well for the French. Even after heavy bombing leveled some of the structures in major cities in Chile, rebels forced the French Army back to Argentina. A Counter-Attack has already been put into place by the former President of France, who is now a 4-Star General. The counter-attack is expected to continue but the Army doesn't expect to gain much more than 25 kilometers by 5 posts. We ask the Antartican Empire to help us in our battle agaisnt the Chilians.

Economic News:

After the American stocks plummeted by 500 points today, the French brokers got orders to sell. To restore order the president has ordered that the stock market be closed until Thursday. The President hopes that the American economy can recover so that the French economy doesn't collapse along with it. Also the French President has given 600 Billion dollars to the automaker Citroen, which if closed, would put thousands out of work. The same is expected for automaker Renault.

Homeland News:

After two French citizens were killed in the Mumbai Terrorist Attack; President Stephane ordered that a State Funeral be held for the couple. Also the Eiffel Tower continues to be a popular monument in France.

Other News:

Nationalism is on the rise throughout the French Republic. Citizens now are being asked to fly the Tri-Cross at half-staff to honor the men and women who have died fighting in wars throughout the history of France. The National Anthem has been asked to be sung every morning around the nation at exactly 11:00 AM.

Alliance News:

The French Republic asks the Antartican Empire and the Macedonian Empire to join together to form the Pac-3. This pac would be cooperative. Meaning that laws that affect the well-being of all the citizens in the countries can be discussed and modified to work well with all the countries.

Speech:

Today, President Stephane while vacationing on the Cote D' Azure. Was asked to deliver a speech. Here is what he said.

"My French men, we have gathered here to celebrate a great nation, that has pulled itself out of the ashes, and risen up agaisnt tyranny. Macedonia now has all together 200 M-08Ts(Valkyrie tanks) and 300 M-08Fs(Sunbird Jets)

3,000 men have been incorporated into the new navy program and have begun intense training and lessons on the operations of ships and its fire power

600 men are currently in the Macedonian Imperial Airforce (MIA) and are going through flight patterns, maneuvers, and simulations in the balkan mountains

65,000 men are currently in the army or marines, with  5000 in training for the new tanks, and about 10,000 in occupied albania, who are finally done with the wall, and all the reconstruction of buildings. 25,000 men are along the southern macedonian border with greece, and the rest are with their families until further notice.

Military/Scientific

Today, all six ships were finally completed. The newly formed navy consists of 1 carrier, 3 battle ships, and 2 nuclear submarines. A little over 3000 men are in the navy and should be almost completed with their training.with the new influx of navy, new ships attre being built now, including 3 cruisers, 2 battle ships and 2 destroyers, these 7 ships should be completed faster with the influx of immigration to the counrty, creating a larger work force.

Also the three spy planes have finally been completed, and are scheduled for take off later today. the mission will be called Operation Zues, and have specific plans in order to gain more information of enemies.

Domestic News

A new housing program is sent underway by government after the huge numbers of people the empire has recived in the past weeks. new high rise buildings will be constructed to house more, towns will turn into cities and cities into metropolis'. All cities are under macedonian control is expected to go under a Modernization period, effective immediately, which upgrades and makes everything uptodate and functional. This will cost about 150 billion dollars.

Since the population is nearing 4 million and there is so much work to be done, the unemployment rate is at 9% as able bodied workers are rushed to plants and factories, and contruction sites to build and reshape the empire, further giving to the of the empire.

The ecomomy is in the steel industry and wine industry, industries are trying to convert to clean coal technology, and trying to go more green.

Foreign news

Greece has asked macedonian military to withdraw from borders and to stop trying to intimidate, or there will be consequences... Alexander II  declines the request and Greece declares an oil embargo on the macedonian empire, and starts to comandeer saudi arabian and african ships exporting oil to the empire. Russia is the only way to get oil now. Alexander prepares his air force and increases taxes by 3% and increases military spending a bit.

The people of Ireland, tired with their leader Mary McAleese, have decided to throw a bloody coup. They have put Rory O'Sullivan in power. He has begun his new rule by lowering taxes, and declaring a national holiday.

Military (1 week ago)

The three spy planes have com back with all the pictures of Greece you could need. Operation Zues was the collecting of pictures and knowing whereabouts of the Greek military. There are higher concentrations around the border of Macedonia, and the islands near Turkey and Cyprus, and the southern mainland. This gives the Macedonian military some options. But ultimately they decide the best plan would be to loop around to the peninsula of Thessaloniki, (once a part of Macedonia until after WW1 when most of its land was divided amongst other nations to prevent another big Balkan country to start another war) the ships would sail under Greek flags starting from the northern most reaches of the Macedonian territory along the Adriatic and the ships will sail to the peninsula, hopefully the Greek navy will think it one of their own coming back from Italy. Upon reaching the peninsula and docking, the area will be heavily bombed by over 100 Sunbirds, letting the naval ships unleash more upon the buildings and landscape, then funneling out more infantry so they can advance to the north. The border troops have something up there sleeve also.

But later that day Greece contacted Macedonia demanding why three spy planes were seen circling the country. Alexander II simply replied, “I don’t know, ask the Turks?” Greece has cut off all trade and closed down its borders.

(Today)

Alexander preps his troops with a speech: “Today, my brothers, will be a remarkable day in Macedonian history. Today is the day where we start to rebuild Alexander The Great’s empire. It is time to take back what is ours. Take back what was wrongly given away almost 100 years ago. Greek Macedonia, there, our brothers and sisters are constantly discriminated against just because they are proud Macedonians. Well lets give them something to be proud of. The Greeks try to take everything from us, our name, our land, and our heroes, claiming that Alex the Great was Greek. Well its time to make these Greeks Macedonian! Men, all I ask of you is your faith and your devotion to this war, once Greece falls, then so shall every other foe we face. Macedonia will finally become a world power, and a force not to be reckoned with We may not have as many numbers as them, but we sure as hell have the heart and will! So I say to you men, Long Live Macedonia, and hell to Greece!”

The men erupted with cheers and rushed to their stations. The operation went as planned and as the Macedonian ships docked at the ports, a barrage of bombs were unleashed on Thessaloniki, catching the Greeks by surprise, the battleships and subs unleashed their fury on ships and buildings, as men poured out and pushed northwards. On the border of Greece and Macedonia, the men waited for their cue, as soon from behind the Greek force a bomb was dropped, causing a huge mess causing the Greek military to turn their backs on the French and Macedonians, which led to their deaths as the troops fired at their backs, and started advancing southwards to meet the other divisions.

Also a Greek island on the Adriatic was annexed with little force after troops felt it was too risky to let the plan go to waste.

Columbia and Venezuela have sent troops to Cuba to try and bring back order. The UCL (United Caribbean League)has urged the United Nations to declare them a country and grant them representation in the UN. Until then, President Sancheza of the UCL has declared full scale war on the two countries invading the UCL province of East Cuba.

Shortly after the announcement, several forces from the UCL were sighted on the beaches of Columbia. They plan to take over major airfields and cities throughout the country.

the past week has been a bit of an upset but we are slowly gaining ground against the greeks. the men morale is slowly fading but we are expexted to take the whole country with in a couple posts. but just to reinforce our victory, the macedonians have brought back an old weapon back to the battle feild. mustard gas, and start using it on the greeks to gain mor eground, when it comes to greece, macedonia has no heart, we care nothing for these rats, one day they will live peacefully with us, but that is a long time from now. heres an update map.
