Wow I thought they fixed that a long time ago... Guess i should have known better.

Nah, I tried to get them to fix that ages ago but Sam didn't seem to think that that was how it should work. 

And, to be very honest I was hurt () that they didn't see fit to make room for me. I've always been someone who believed that the LH community was one of the most successful experiments in online communities that I've ever seen;  It was the first one I ever participated in, and I always believed in it.  practically since the very beginning.  Or, I should say- I am one of the few left who were here before the end of the last century.

Upon being snubbed about the benefits of 'former HK' and being eternally locked out of receiving them... It was a major slap in the face and after that point I had little to no interest in the forums. 

So, no... they didn't fix it. No, its not surprising.  And yes, that's to blame for the drop off in my active participation over the last year or so.

EDIT: And not even a nice "Oldbie" or "Lurker" tag.  No love for the Ironlion.  It certainly hasn't encouraged me to stick around

  oh no no no! Nobody's allowed to count! lol.  I was 18 when I registered for the forums... I never thought I'd be looking in sight of (and dreading) my 30th birthday in only a few short years and still be around here.  lol. 

But, for the record, my forums anniversary is next month, and actually you're a few months more oldbie than me because its only my 9th one.  But still- aside from moderators like you, (a many of whom are probably inactive as well) I'm one of a handful that senior who have been checking back all these years.

I guess I'm still a Lionhead fanboy... Despite all the ups and downs.  I bought every game LH made until they stopped releasing games for the PC.  I bought B&W twice, even.  I'd probably have picked up Fable 2, if I had a 360.  I am eagerly looking forward to see what comes of Dimitri.  Or wait, its being called Milo now, i think?  at any rate... as long as LH is still up to something I think I'll always be popping in to see what it is that they are up to.    And some of the people here too... even though I keep in touch with many outside the forums... when they bother to stay in touch *looks pointedly at Kaiser*.

Yeah you're another one!  lol.  But Facebook has proven useful in this respect for a lot of folks here. 

And you know, a handful of the friendships formed here have proven surprisingly significant to my life, and translated into almost family-like IRL friendships.  Friends for life, and even... more than friends in one very unique and surprising case. 

Those people I'm referring to have become parts of my life, and its to the point that I barely even remember that it all started here.

Ahem. So I tried to install MSN again. Failed, because my OS (Windows Server 2003) isn't supported anymore. Luckily I keep old installers around just in case, so I installed one of those. Then I was confronted with how much I hate MSN again. It's unusable, it's ugly, it's annoying ... I spent five minutes unchecking various 'let MSN annoy you with method X', 'let MSN annoy you with method Y' options.

I have it on autologon now, so I guess I'll see you online sometime.

Get skype. We got a nice (and fairly active) lh chatroom running in there.
