I was in knothole glade.. i was at the tabtoo shop, at that time i was fully evil.. every1 was screaming and running away from me. After i had my tabtoo from the tabtoo shop, i walk to the weapon shop. I saw the blacksmith there hammering a sword on his anvil. I walk to him, and he scream and ran away. After that i found 2 hammers on the floor next to the anvil. I pick it up and it says "Fry Pan". I went to my inventory and weilded the "Fry Pan that looks like a Big Hammer" that has 10 weapon power. I was holding the hammer that the blacksmith was holding. However, the hammer cannot be unshed, it can be wielded together with a bow, holding a hammer in 1 hand and a bow in another hand. I then went back to talk to the blacksmith, after seeing through his goods. My hammer disapeare. All the above i said is true.. i tried it before but i didn't take any screenshots. Sorry for bad english.

we usually say 'tattoo' anyway, the Frying Pan is what you get when you complete the treasure quest.

He did say he picked up the Frying Pan and it had 10 attack power, right? That would make sense since he took it from the blacksmith with out digging up any clues.. But How'd you pick up the hammer? I've never seen an NPC drop any of the items they were holding.. How were you even able to pick it up, it wasn't even an item?

I was fully evil. i walked towards the blacksmith and he screamed and ran away. I saw that weapon laying beside the anvil. I walked over and it was highlighted blue in colour, i picked it up like an ordinary item. And there were 2 of it on the floor on the same place. I could wield it together with a bow, but after i went to talk to the blacksmith and entered the shop screen. Then after that the weapon just disapeare from my inventory. My conclusion is that its the same way how ravernofskorm (stated on the secrets of fable thread)gotten the scimitar from the bandit. Maybe its a rare case when they dropped it on the floor.

Well that is weird I was full evil and the same thing happened he ran away . But he didn't drop anything . ( probably cause I killed him with lightning before he could )

Someone else posted about this a while ago... I found it hard to belive then and still hard to believe now..... But Ill take your word for it.

The one thing I don't get - How did you pick it up if it wasn't a weapon? I just tried it and it didn't work. It wasn't an item or an ingame weapon, yet it turned blue and you were able to pick it up. If you picked it up, then it most of been an item. If it was an item, it'd be in your invetory. Did it say anything in your Inv?

It adds 10dmg and its call a fry pan... but it dosen't look like a fry pan.. its a hammer. When i weild the "fry pan" i can also weild a bow at the same time. Holding the fry pan and a skorm's bow in the other hand. However the fry pan cannot be unshed, i could't slung it behind my hero's back like most weapons. It disappeare by itself right after i went back to talk to the blacksmith and access the buying and selling screen.

That sounds strange, But I belive it. It was the Frying Pan? Did it give the same discription of the Frying Pan you can dig up? And were you able to swing it?

I have heard of this happening now and then, but it does seem to be with only Heroes.

I have tried it myself a few times, but I never seem to be able to pick up a hammer...maybe I am just too much of a nOOb..after all it took 2 years to the the bandits crossbow.

This has happened to me to, I was 100% and I scared the hell out of the shop keeper as soon as he was bringing down the hammer, and when I tried to sell it it diappeared, I never got to try and swing it.

I know this is a very old, but I've never seen this frying pan. I think that maybe if you hadn't purchased merchandise from him, you could have kept it. It almost makes me want to play , just to find out. Would that happen on tlc, or only the original game?

I believe it! Just because when I'm in the bandit camp they always set things down and i pick it up all the time. So having him drop something like that is believable for me. =D

I believe it, also. I played so many times, and have had strange things happen with each game. I go everywhere, do everything, run into different comments, etc. People lay things down all the time. It might be worth a try. Although I hate to play , and haven't, before, it might be worth it, just to see what happens.

This glitch I guess would only be on the fable game not tlc. They fixed alot of the glitches on tlc.

No, I haven't gotten all the clues. If I remember correctly, you have to do one bad side quest to get it, or am I wrong? I'm always missing one.

The hardest clue to get is #3, and you get that from killing the Assassins. There are 5 of them, and you must kill them consecutively, meaning in one game session, cant kill 1, then save n quit, then kill the other 4, they will respawn if you quit your game or quit a current quest. They only appear when you step in a certain place, consider them triggers.
#1- Witchwood Cullis Gate- At the focus site. *Thin path*
#2- Knothole Glade- Appears only when you are at the entrance of Knothole Glade
#3- Windmill Hill- Right when you touch the stairs of the Windmill building
#4- Prison Path- Pretty much cant miss this one
#5- Hook Coast- At the top half of Hook Coast, near the Bell.

Once you see a small red dot appear on your map from out of nowhere, you'll know who it is...kill em.

Depends if you find all the clues or not.

From what I understand, the number clues you find is the number of augment slots the frying pan has.

I never found any clues (I cheated) so my frying pan never had any.
