As some of you might have noticed, the Elite Signature Association (ESA) is down - and so far we are unaware of it coming back ever again.
With this being said, we are going to create a thread here on Lionhead (LH) that will be used as the new ESA (this thread...).

First off - introducing the old ESA Team Members (in alphabetic order):

These are the guys who made the sigs. The artists of ESA.
Not all of them are active, and many of them might not be as enthusiastic about making sigs anymore, so sig requests may be processed very slowly - please be patient with us. Those who are active and willing have their names in green (hopefully all will be in green eventually), and those who might help are in orange; the rest are inactive for now.

The format for a Signature Request is simple: Just make a post asking for a sig, giving us as much information as possible so that we can make your sig.

Size:
Always mention what size you want. If you do not mention what size you want your signature to be, we will make it 468 x 60 pixels (the old LH standard).

As we don't want a whole bunch of massive sigs on LH, we will be reluctant to make anything much larger than the standard. 500 x 65 pixels is probably the largest we will go (which was the standard for ESA). Any sig you would like made for LH will either be standard size (468 x 60), large (500 x 65), or smaller than the standard size.

Avatars for LH will be anything smaller than 100 x 100 (obviously) as that is the maximum size Avatar.

Anything you would like made for another forum/site can be any size you want, but it must be specified in your Request Post.

Animation:
A few of the guys would argue that animation instantly decreases the quality of a sig, and that all sigs should be still; which gives a better effect. And a few of the Team Members will not make animated sigs - for various reasons.

If you do want an animated sig you must mention it in your post. You might have to wait quite a while for one of the members who are willing to do animated sigs to read your post - and to actually make the sig. Just know that when we eventually do make animated sigs, they are done very well.

Content:
Obviously, you need to mention what you want your sig to look like. This includes a name that you would like on your sig, any phrases, the background, the effects, pictures, etc..

Very often people are unsure of what they want (or they just don't care about the details), in this case, you can leave it up to the artist. Just specify the basics of what you want and we'll come up with something based on what you asked for. Some times the artists will even change what you asked for by his own discretion. Usually when he thinks that the sig is lacking something, and his change will better the image.

An example of what you can ask for is the following:
"I want a sig with a Mafia baby on it. He must be drinking or smoking, or something. And I want my username on it (Monde)."
Note that no background image was specified, and the description is very vague. This is fine. We will make a sig and ask your opinion, show you more, and eventually we will come up with an end result:



Member:
You may also ask specific members to make you a sig if you like their work. I will try find a way to create a portfolio for each of the members in the future.

Just include - in your post - that you would like that person to make your sig, or perhaps PM them the request instead. Please don't just PM members from the list randomly. Only if you can see that they are active in this thread (the members who's names are green, or possibly orange as well) may you ask or PM that member.

Right, so that's how to make a request.

Please don't come to us and ask for a new movie poster every week. Some of the members probably won't even make you a single movie poster even if you ask nicely, but none will make you one if you're just going to use it for a week and never again afterwards - that's just a waste of artwork, and our time.

Finally, please give credit to the ESA for making your sig in some way. Linking your sig to this thread, or simply saying "Sig by ESA" at the top or bottom of your sig will suffice. And maybe even give credit to the Artist who made your sig, so anyone who likes that sig can come ask the same person to make them one.

Alright then. Let's begin the requests! I've been itching to make a sig for a while now.

Isn't this opportune! Right when I think about making a mini-return you make an ESA thread . Timing is everything, Skunk .

Since you're itching for something and I'm not one to leave you out in the cold, I'll give something you can start with, if you're (or any of the other artists, of course) willing to make it!

Is it okay if I ask for both an avatar and a signature? They need to be coördinated anyway, so the same artist might as well make both .

Specifications for the avatar
You can take the standard size or the one you're most familiar with, I don't really care, because I know nothing about pixel size proportions. If my request requires some animation, I don't know, but you artists should decide that for yourself .

Content
Easily said (though maybe not done? ), I'd like a modern version of my old sun (if you remember it?). It does not have to be anthropomorphised (doesn't have to look human or anything ), but it has to appear to glow at least, so some subtle color gradations would be awesome.


Specifications for the signature
Again, the size is all up to what you guys like working with most. Again, animation or not, as long as it works .

Content
Ideally, a landscape with intermittent streaks of light, like a sun bursting through a patchwork cloud cover. The sun itself should not be seen, because the angle of the sun rays should be at least left to right diagonally (which is to say, the rays of light have to seem to come from the avatar sun). Along the curve of the landscape it should say 'the revealer', with preferrably color gradients in the lettering that make it look like they're lighted up by the rays of light falling onto the landscape.

It feels like I'm giving a very specific image, but I'm not giving you the background image itself, so just try to find for yourself what really works .

Hey Ammy!

Right, so I started making you an avatar and sig.

The avatar is almost an exact replica of what you used to have, only it's so much better because a) it has cooler lighting, and b) it was made by me.



So naturally, since I didn't change it much, I expect you won't be satisfied with this one - if so, just ask me to make a new one and I will do so gladly.

The sig is also a semi-rip off of your old one (without the lion).



It is sort of rough, I just really wanted to know that I was on the right track here, before I continue with something you don't actually want.

Okay, so then we'll stick with that Avatar since everyone's happy with it.

The sig... well. I couldn't do much more to it, so I just changed the writting a bit. Otherwise, nothing really added to the image. I tried adding a lion, but it just looked out of place, I tried a few different effects on the background and text, nothing looked . So, I've decided to stick with the sig, and give you a choice between the original, or this one:



As I said, if you don't like anything, or want something added, just let me know and I'll do it gladly, but for now - I'm out of ideas!

I can simply use them as you have them uploaded? Or do I need to upload them somewhere more permanent...? I really don't have a clue when it comes to virtual graphics .

And unfortunately I can't do that for a few reasons... Firstly, the boards have a 1 pixel outline around your avatar, which might make a sun in the middle with grey background and border look kinda silly. Secondly, the sun with a grey background loses a lot of its effect, and doesn't glow nearly as much. And thirdly and most importantly, I can't take the black background away properly, because I don't really have that much skill in Photoshopping.

Doesn't mean I won't try though. I'll post what I can tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I was being very bold just changing what you wanted there, but I really do think that the pistol in the background alone completes the sig.

Hey man, glad to see you. I sorta need a logo for an MLG clan. yeah, I had to break the chain and ask for something like this. Anyway, it would greatly be appreciated. Details follow:

Needed: Logo
Team Name: Team SyKoTiK (use that exact spelling please)
Bg: Anything that looks cool but intimidating at the same time.
