Ripped jeans used to be "in", like seriously slashed ones across the front, and apparantly ripped up black tights look rocky. But I'm not sure if any of it's that fashionable anymore xD

I hate when people say expect the unexpected.
If you expect the unexpected, does not then the unexpected become the expected? But if the unexpected is the expected then the expected would become the unexpected.

    That's why expect everything.

My jeans are torn at the bottom, but because I just have rather short legs, and I can't really be bothered having them resized, so they rip when I walk and then I pretend I live in the 90's.

    Re: a fashion trend question

What I have never understood is why people would buy pre-ripped jeans. I mean, they always look tacky and like something you'd give 'Urban Barbie' to wear. No idea if such a thing exists mind. I was more of an eagle eye action man.

My jeans eventually flaw and tear near the bottom and I leave them like that. So long as their still wearable I'll leave any other tears too, it usually doesn't look bad until your arse crack or superman underwear is showing. But why anyone would already buy torn clothing, I don't know. Lethargic is right though, it was mainly a 90's thing.

The only thing worse than beating a dead horse is betting on one.

I mean they rip at the bottom, at the bits which hang over and often under my shoes.

Middle class kids want to look not middle class so they rip their jeans to look poor.

    Or.

Ripped jeans give the idea that the wearer doesn't care what they look like. Its a similar trend to 'just-got-out-of-bed' hair. Its cool to look like you haven't tried to look cool.

This is horribly inconvenient for me, who doesn't really want to look cool, but can't bloody help it if they keep changing trends to reflect my laziness.
