I'm in the middle of John Dies at the End - written by the Editor of Cracked.com and creator of the Monkysphere essay. It's both hilarious and genuinely scary.
For some reason Birdo clearly has the voice of a Japanese man in this trailer. It's like... eating a cake. You expect the cake to be delicious, but when you bite into it, it sounds like a Japanese man. See what I'm trying to say here?

Just picked up a copy of the new Dan Brown book  The Lost Symbol.   Hope it is as G o o d [Good]  as his other Robert Langdon books.

My friend threw Raymond E. Feist's Silverthorn book at me, so I'm reading that at the moment.

I really can't be bothered with reading at the moment, I just haven't got the patience for it any more, I'll read a couple of pages, and then I'll go snort cocaine and start playing violent video games again.

Re: What Book Are You Reading?

Just getting ready to start reading V for Vendetta again, possibly my favourite book. Not sure which I like best, Watchmen, V for Vendetta or The Dark Knight Returns.

I have read The Killing Joke too, however I think it's extremely overrated, I was hyped up to read it given how much I'd heard of it and how much of an influence it was meant to be but unfortunately it didn't deliver the G o o d [Good]s, it was very short too which is unusual compared to most Batman Novels, Specially when compared to novels like The long Halloween and Dark Victory.

I am now reading a book written by Robert Ludlum called The Ambler Warning.  I am hooked.

His name is Hal Ambler who is an ex-agent who escapes a psychiatric ward.  Nobody knows who he is anymore and he's trying to figure out who put him there.

I highly recommend this book.  It is written by the author of The Bourne Identity series.  Quite a G o o d [Good] read. Up []

I've read that, and it really is a rather G o o d [Good] book, very riveting.

Re: What Book Are You Reading?

Apart from reading a lot of books about interactive narrative and dramatic theory and all that, the last two novels I read were by Haruki Murakami, Dance Dance Dance and The Wind-up Bird Chronicle. I think the next one will probably be Murakami again; probably Kafka on the Shore.
I don't 'do' sigs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. The books are great, trying to get a book in the series though, and meanwhile I'm trying some horror by HP. Lovecraft Wink [;)]

Re: What Book Are You Reading?

John Lutz's Dancing with Death, it's slow going and reading about dancing is neither thrilling nor as entertaining as watching the real thing. Sad [:(]

Only picked it up because I liked the movie Single, white, female which was based on a former book by him.

I'm reading-- wait for it-- The Wizard Heir. It's the sequel to The Warrior Heir, which was a great book, and so far, The Wizard Heir is living up to expectation.

Tossed away Dancing with Death, not literally but I was close to, because I have this stupid misconception that thrillers should be, well, thrilling, started Loretta Chase's Lord of Scoundrels instead, love that book. Smily [:)]

This is going to sound crazy but, The Zombie Survival Guide. It's a handbook on how to survive the zombie apocalypse.

Oh my, that does sound crazy indeed. That must be an incredibly obscure book, filled with zany antics, because I've certainly never heard of it, and I can't imagine anybody else here has either!

On a different note, you should read World War Z, it's by the same guy, and brilliant.

Oh yeah, I've heard about that book. I guess a serious book I'm reading right now is Four Past Midnight. Or The Sun Dog, in Four Past Midnight. Stephen King is a crazy man...

    About that...

The Wheel of Time is a real G o o d [Good] epic fantasy story with a fat and long 11 books to enjoy(and it keeps getting better!!!) but due to the writer(Robert Jordan) untimely death the story dose not finish at book eleven....Sad [:(]Sad [:(]Sad [:(]

UNTIL NOW!!!!  RJ's son actually picked up where his father left off! After 3 years of patient waiting the first of the remaining books just came out this month(still only in hardcover)

And that’s what I am reading!

    OK ,Thanks Again!!!!(>.<)

    Loved them. Up []

Would have liked to see the AvP movie adapt the story faithfully instead of coming up with this crude mix they had, that would have made the second (and then third) so much better.
