I could have sworn I saw it before but now I can't find it anywhere:  Where can I find information on the overall interest in each genre at any given moment?  I can find out about relative shifts from the timeline, obviously, but I need a summation of all the effects and the novelty value.

Oh, I wish I had the game installed. If memory serves it should show you if you hover over where you are in the timeline at that moment. I know right clicking on a set tells you how much novelty value there is for that set.
Otherwise, try right clicking on sections of the building where you release your films. I'm sure it's there somewhere. If I can find my discs, I'll install it in a second (I've had to reformat) and have a quick look.

Thanks, I'll try those.  Sets novelty I can find - you get a list of them during scripting - it's just genre I'm confused about.
