Basically I have entered the world of work and guess what? It's more boring than I expected (no shizzle Sherlock [before all you Gangstaz rage at me, I'm well aware what Shizzle actually means but I don't play by your rules, Muthaflicker!] ). I have found myself spending alot of time on the net when ever the other people in my office leave. However, I only have 3 sites that are half decent (Lionhead not included, obv). They are as follows;

Failblog.org (and all attached site i.e. Graphjam etc)

helicoptergame.net (highest score 2243. Hell yeahz)

Obviously the point in this thread is to find what you look at when you are bored at work or school. They have to be browser based and work friendly (i.e no p0rn). You probably get the picture from th aforementioned sites.

devs. Please don't close this right away just because its advertising rival sites. I know your not that mean. Theres only so long one man can spend a day lurking in the Lionhead forums.

Wished I could get on LH at work, I am lucky google works.  Our IT department have this thing called websense.  No wait websense died and was replaced with some Iprism program. Well the end result is the same limited ability on the internet. 

At least google works, and I can find lots of interesting things.  Especially when the Boss let me spend the departments money.  Usually I am to busy with my patients to get bored.

At my school we pushed the IT department a bit too far by hacking the system and editing the school homepage by drawing mustaches on everyone. Now the system is locked tighter than a... not sure how to finish that. But basically pretty much every website is blocked unless already approved by IT.

Mate, I don't care if I get caught. I'm technically in an apprenticeship so they only give me 2.50 an hour. Even that comes from the council as a way of congratulating me for getting off my ***.

My average day consists of making a spread sheet or a spec sheet. Then going to the toilet. Making a spread sheet. Going for a cup of tea. Making a spread sheet. Going to the toilet. Do you see a pattern emerging.

Now i get excited when there is a new number in a spread sheet.

As far as my "employer" is concerned they have a free employee who is obliged to do all the really boring jobs. All that said it does sound as bad as Suz or Sim. Lock down? I mean, is that really necessary?

Perhaps I should have mentioned that my computer has no speakers or Flash/Java Player. So Zero Punctuation is off limits and such like is off limits.

None, the computers are very closely monitored in our college and the person monitoring can control our computers from where he is. This was demonstrated when I wrote some text on the screen jokingly addressing the person who was apparently watching to which the text deleted it self in front of my eyes and the fellow replied to what I stated. Very closely monitored we are. I suppose it helps you just get on with work, were allowed to listen to music provided we use a eye pod(or I phone, anything that plays music) or bring a disk in and that we keep it at a reasonable level while wearing hear phones and that we take them out when the teacher begins there lecture or starts addressing the class. However this can be revoked if we don't comply with the rules... I did get my earphones and music privileges took off of me for a week for singing Feeling (Muse) at a very high volume... got a little too into it. Main reasons were disrupting the class and being out of tune.
