usually its a video driver error or direct x, try updating both of them and see how ya go.

try copying the whole contents of the disc to your hard drive then install from there.

when you install the game, let it insall anything it wants, even windows media player and direct x. run the game and it should work. If it does, then exit the game and update your directX and windows media player again. pray tell, did you buy this on steam?

I have about 80 stars in my actor pool. Modify the stage school ini file to increase it. And all of my stars are made in star maker, i don't have a problem with it.
