Certainly.  To me, it's  what it takes.  And my crew gains experience.If I want to do sandbox, and knockk things out, I could do that, of course. I just choose not to.

No, it doesn't gain.If you want crew to be experienced, play the tycoon version of it.That's what I do anyway, and release the movies made that way here.Feels more ''real world'' to me.

I think it all depends on the individual directorial emphasis, feeling and style of the work.For example, imagine a comedy, all it shows is pictures of feet.  That's valid.I think the genre might have certain styles, but if those become standard, then it's conventional.Although conventoinal works, because it is understood, it isn't new. ...
